Rail-Rail welding

Today, practically all the railway companies have adopted continuous rail technology.

Obtaining continuous rail consists of two phases:

1. Welding process, conducted in facilities usually fixed for long rods of 144 to 288 m. long.

2. Aluminothermic welding process in situ single lane (18/36 m) or long bar (144/288 m).

This aluminothermy welding process involves a series of advantages:

  • It can be done "in situ" in a simple and effective.
  • Requires minimal equipment.
  • Requires no external energy sources of importance.

These advantages make this process the most appropriate maintenance work.
